Just Imagine

Knowing that there will come a day when we will get to walk into the pearly gates of heaven and walk on street of gold is a little crazy for me to comprehend.

When I was little, I would try and think about all the amazing things of heaven. Playing with the animals, seeing Jesus and God and getting to put a face to the name, and just playing all day - oh, and flying! Now that I'm older, things have changed a bit. I'm excited to see the many people in my life be there with me! I'm excited to see what house got created for me and my family knowing all the things we adore and how He's going to top it all! I still can't wait to see Jesus and God's face and finally know. I wonder if it'll be a similar face - one I've seen my whole life and recognize the eyes, the nose, the lips. Maybe Jesus has appeared several times in my life and getting to heaven to see His face will show me that He was really always there.

I know everyone has probably heard the song "I Can Only Imagine". I love that song! It brings tears to me eyes pretty much every time I hear it. Even if you've heard it before, I'm asking that you listen to it once again and really concentrate on putting yourself there on that day - in heaven. Really take the words to heart and just imagine what heaven will be like!

1. Spend an hour talking with children about heaven
2. Read 1 Corinthians 15:35-58
3. Buy a CD of music that inspires and uplifts you
4. Visit a famous cathedral and see heaven visualized in stone and stained glass and light
5. Walk in a forest and see glimpses of heaven on earth
6. Do a New Testament study on heaven
7. Grow a fragrant blooming plant on your winter windowsill
