Look to the Lord and his strength; seek his face always. Psalm 105:4
The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands. Day after day they pour forth speech; night after night they reveal knowledge. Psalm 19:1-2I find so much comfort from these Bible verses this morning. God knew how much I needed to hear His words saying to me, "look to me for strength and seek my face". He showed me this morning that everything around me "declares His glory and proclaims the work of His hands". These reminders seem simple, but the truth is they have a great amount of meaning to me. In the moments I read them I know that He has sent these words to me for a purpose. He knows that I needed to see these promises and assurance.
I am a firm believer that things happen for a reason. There is a plan and a purpose to all that is. I know that all things are working together for good, but when times are hard and things don't seem easy, these reminders are sent from above to keep me focused. They keep me pressing on and walking toward that beautiful light that God has shined down so that we can reach it.
See, darkness covers the earth and thick darkness is over the peoples, but the Lord rises upon you and his glory appears over you. Isaiah 60:2
