From Despair to Hope

This blog post is based off of Psalm 42:1-11 from the "New Women's Devotional Bible".

Sometimes identifying our sorrows out loud can be our way of reaching to God and proclaiming a thirst for Him. This is what the psalmist does in the above reading. He reaches to God with deep sadness and despair and hold on tight to His promises.

We are often caught up in our own thoughts of hopelessness. We all have situation in our lives that feel impossible to carry on our own and we find ourselves sulking, worrying, and in despair. These are the moments that are threatening and can leave us feeling alone.

God wants up to go to Him with these thoughts and fears. We can cling to Him with the promises from the Bible - just like the psalmist did! I encourage you to read the above verses. They will be an encouragement to you in your need!

God is hope! Hope in Him and meditate on His loving-kindness.

"If ever you feel you're at the end of your rope, don't struggle and try to increase your grope. Breathe, relax, and increase your hope." Karen Salmansohn
