Sometimes it is a Waiting Game

"As you find our more of who you are and who you're becoming, you begin to see what you really need from God's dream to come true in your life."

Waiting is hard to do....especially when you're an organized, planning, freak like me! Currently, I am waiting for several things:
  • Money - to be financially stable
  • Answers to come
  • School to begin and life to be "in order"
These are just a few and I'm not waiting very patiently.

I should have learned from my past just a little bit more. I should know that a lot of time that is spent "waiting" is actually not a loss - it is a growing faith exercise. Every time that I have waited on God, I find myself more understanding, more faithful, more dependent - all the things I want to be.

Sometimes I think that God has us wait for good reasons. Some of these reasons may be:
  • we need to gain more knowledge
  • better circumstances are coming
  • we will have others' support at a later time
  • finances will be in better condition
  • we will be more emotionally prepared
All these things would make us "better off" but who are we to know when this will happen? We won't. That's why it is in God's timing - perfect timing!

So, how do we wait patiently? Well, it isn't easy. It will take a lot out of us. But, if we keep our eyes on Jesus, and ask for that patience, He will provide and we will reap all the benefits of waiting for His perfect timing!

"Patiencee is waiting. Not passively waiting - that is laziness. But to keep going when the going is hard and slow - that is patience."
