This blog post is based off of 2 Kings 22:1-20 from the "New Women's Devotional Bible".
King Josiah reigned after his father David. He was the only King among his own family that walked in the ways of the Lord all his life. He had a legacy and his life was summed up in that one short phrase, "he walked in the way of the Lord and did to waver from it".
What a great life to live. What a great legacy to leave behind.
What would others say about your life? Would they be able to sum it up in one phrase and call it a day? Would the one sentence be something you are proud of?
I would hope that my legacy would be like King Josiah's. I would hope that others see my life as one where I am following God and living a life in His glory. I think that is something that we all want to strive for and hope for.
Maybe your life summary isn't what you want it to be right now. The good news is you can change it! What is it that God wants you to change? Is there something that we can all alter a bit in our lives so that we are walking in God's ways and not our own? Pray about it. Find that something that needs adjustment!
