This blog post is based off of 1 Kings 17:7-24 from the "New Women's Devotional Bible".
The widow and her son had no more food left. Elijah found her gathering the very sticks that she had planned to burn and help make her last meal before she died. Elijah knew that God had other plans for this widow. He was told by God to go and find her specifically and he knew what he had to do to help her.
When was the last time that your faith was running dry in your life? I know that for myself there have been plenty of times throughout life when my faith was emptying. In these times, seeking God is so important but it seems to be furthest from our minds.
I'm sure that I've told a story or two about how God provided for me and my family. Before hubby and I got married, money was tight and we weren't sure how we were going to make all the ends meet. It was as if everything was falling into place, day by day, and God was just providing. There was story after story to tell on this journey and we were so thankful to God for His many blessings.
If you are in need of anything from God, ask Him to provide. He will multiply what you have and supply all your needs.
