Being a honest person is something we must all strive for. I say "strive" because I know how hard it is to stay honest. Or maybe I should say how easy it is to be dishonest. All it take is chaining one word in a sentence when repeating someone's words. Or maybe it is not telling the "whole truth". These are "easy" ways that we become dishonest and our image of "trustworthiness" can slowly fade away.
Will Do
- Confess your sins to God
- Believe that you are forgiven by God
- Be honest with God about your true feelings
- Respect others by being honest with them
- Respect yourself by being honest when no one is watching
- Be generous
- Trust that God will meet all your needs
To Do
- Go somewhere for a day or weekend and reexamine yourself
- Write down 5 areas that need improving on when it comes to honesty in your life
- Balance your checkbook
- Answer honestly on your tax returns and other important documents
- Give honest feedback and compliments to your friends
- Always pay your fair share on things - maybe a little more at times
- Go to someone you wronged and make it right
