Holding Hands

Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and you'll recover your life. I'll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me—watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won't lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Matthew 11:28-29
God promises us that we will find strength and peace in His presence. All we have to do is reach for His hand and hold on tight.

When you think about it, holding someones hand means you trust them. The only hands I can think of holding are my parents, someone from my family, my friends, and my hubby's. I trust all those people and wouldn't "put my hand in theirs" unless I knew I could trust them. It is almost a sign of confidence in them. When you hold someones hand you are confiding in them and showing them that you trust them.

God wants us to reach for His hand. He wants us to know that He is here waiting for us to trust Him and not to fear this life.
Since prayer is at the bottom of all this, what I want mostly is for men to pray—not shaking angry fists at enemies but raising holy hands to God. 1 Timothy 2:8
