Later on that day, the disciples had gathered together, but, fearful of the Jews, had locked all the doors in the house. Jesus entered, stood among them, and said, "Peace to you." Jesus repeated his greeting: "Peace to you. Just as the Father sent me, I send you." John 20:19,21God wants His peace to surround you every moment. Try, for a moment, to allow His peace to seep over you and overcome your being. Picture it as a waterfall slowly pouring over you, and then little by little begins to rise up from the ground.
Today I need God's peace! I need to feel His presence with me and remind me that I am not alone. I need His grace to engulf my being and I need peace to overcome my mind.
This is what God wants. He died an awful death so that we could feel His peace.
That's my parting gift to you. Peace. I don't leave you the way you're used to being left—feeling abandoned, bereft. So don't be upset. Don't be distraught. John 14:27
