Experiencing Peace

...a jewel merchant on the hunt for excellent pearls. Finding one that is flawless, he immediately sells everything and buys it. Matthew 13:46

Consider it a sheer gift, friends, when tests and challenges come at you from all sides. You know that under pressure, your faith-life is forced into the open and shows its true colors. James 1:2 

This morning I was reminded that peace is a gift from God and we must go through trials and hardships to really receive this wonderful gift.

In our world, peace is when everything is going your way. You almost think that you can handle everything on your own, and sadly a lot of people of this world think that they are doing it alone. But God has this perfect peace that He bought with a price for us to experience. This peace is only attainable when we realize that we can't do it alone and we rely on God for our troubles. It is then we finally get to experience His wonderful peace.

I've told you all this so that trusting me, you will be unshakable and assured, deeply at peace. In this godless world you will continue to experience difficulties. But take heart! I've conquered the world. John 16:33
