Trusts and Interest

When I get really afraid I come to you in trust. I'm proud to praise God; fearless now, I trust in God. What can mere mortals do? Psalm 56:3-4
My devotional today was about trusting God and storing up "treasures" in heaven with Him.

The Bible does tell us to store our treasures in heaven. A way I never thought about it was that every time we trust God we are storing up a treasure.

Think of it like this. Every time we trust God we store a chunk of money in heaven - the bank. The bigger the circumstances we are trusting God for, the bigger the chunk of treasure. Then, overtime, the treasures begin to stock up and interest is collected. So, in a crises, or a big circumstances that requires trust in God, we have the practice and confidence that we are prepared for it!

Okay, so its not the perfect analogy, but it works. The point being that when we trust God in the small things, the big things are much easier to go through. Practice trusting God in the mundane things. Ask Him to help you find your keys, trust Him on your way to work, and work on letting Him guide your life.
Stockpile treasure in heaven, where it's safe from moth and rust and burglars. It's obvious, isn't it? The place where your treasure is, is the place you will most want to be, and end up being. Matthew 6:20-21
